Does My Pet See Colors?

Similar to humans, dogs and cats have cones and rods in their retinas, however they are in very different proportions. What your pet sees is probably a more muted form of what you see. Dogs are even more likely to see more shades of gray.

Cats although not likely to see colors like we do, can concentrate very small amounts of light in their eyes, giving them exceptional night vision.
